Ecstasy - Final
Finally got around to finishing this piece, as i was busy with moving and fixing the new place. I call this piece "Ecstasy". The plan is to create a series of portraits displaying emotions to set up an exhibition sometime at the end of this year or start of next.
Used a slightly different style on this portrait than on my previous one, just experimenting on patterns and techniques.
I hope you enjoy it.
Alex.

Ismael Checo
Recently went to the Queens Museum in the Flushing Meadow Park caught the art of Ismael Checo in a group exhibition along with some other artist of Dominican decent. Me being Dominican myself i had to catch this exhibit. I must say i was impressed by the artistic demonstration by the artists in the exhibit and it was a rare mix of different talents and different techniques.

Lord Frederick Leighton
Lord Frederick
Leighton
English painter, sculptor, illustrator & writer
born 1830- died 1896
Of the Academicism Movement.
His works were of historical, biblical and classical subject matter. He has the distinction of having the shortest peerage in history as the title of Baron Leighton of Stretton in the County of Shropshire, was issued on 24 January 1896; Leighton died the next day of angina pectoris. As Leighton did not have any children the title became extinct.
In 1864 he became an associate of the Royal Academy and in 1878 he became its President (1878–96).

Bouguereau - Classical Realism Master
William-Adolphe Bouguereau
Was one of the last well known French academic painters of what is now called the Classical Realism school (Academicism Movement).
He was very fond of Raphael's artwork and even copied one of his works on his way to winning the coveted Prix de Rome in 1850. He was a well known and well established artist but was lost in history to the emergence of Impressionism (Which he Opposed) during the later years of his life.He had an extreme love for art and painted 826 paintings during his life.
